Substance Abuse in the Workplace

  1. Tex-250-F, “Ideal Cracking Test” This test procedure has been approved for statewide use, effective October 2024.

The primary revisions to the test procedure are:

  • grammatical/editorial revisions and
  • added that core specimens should be in accordance with Tex-251-F
  1. Special Provision to Item 300 Asphalts, Oils, and Emulsions
  • This Special Provision updates Tables 3 and 18 with specific values for polymer separation with reference to Tex-540-C and the addition of low temperature dynamic shear rheometer test parameters with reference to Tex-554-C. Specification limits for cement mixing in Table 8 have been updated to reflect the values in SS 3096 (2014).
  • This Special Provision has been approved for statewide use and is required for all projects using Asphalts, Oils, and Emulsions, beginning with the February 2025 letting. However, use of this Special Provision prior to the February 2025 letting is at the District’s option.
