Sand Asphalt

Sand asphalt is a mixture of sand and natural or manufactured asphalt cement (or, in some cases, both natural and manufactured). It may be prepared with or without special control of aggregate grading and may contain mineral filler. Either mixed-in-place or plant mix construction may be employed. Both base and surface course construction utilize sand.
