Superpave

Superpave (trademark) is short for “superior performing asphalt pavement,” a performance-based system for selecting and specifying asphalt binders and developing an asphalt mix design. Superpave is a product of the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) established by congress in 1987 to improve the performance and durability of U.S. roads.
