Consensus Properties
Consensus properties are aggregate characteristics critical to well-performing hot mix asphalt, regardless of the aggregate source, and whose limiting values are set by the Superpave specification. There are four aggregate consensus properties:
- coarse aggregate angularity
- fine aggregate angularity
- flat and elongated particles
- clay content.
